The Religious Society of Friends formed its first committee to find a way to meet the growing needs of the senior population within the Salem County area in 1896. By September 1897, the Society had formed an organization to open and operate Friends Boarding Home. A succession of expansions and new projects ensued culminating in the opening of Friends Village at Woodstown on September 22, 2005.
