Religious Diversity/Immigration/Education//Steps to College program wins award/Athens Banner-Herald/Athens/GA/USA/10-Mar-06//... The Athens Religious Society of Friends will host a two-mile Interfaith Walk for Peace at 11 a.m. Sunday to mark the third anniversary of the start of the war in Iraq.

Area churches have been invited to participate in the walk, which the Quakers say is a nonpartisan event designed to promote communication in the faith community in the Athens area.

The march is scheduled to start at the corner of Poplar and Oconee streets between Oconee Street Methodist Church and the Friends Meeting.
