Northwest Yearly Meeting/Tigard Community Friends Church/Roberts, Arthur/Winters, Orville/TIGARD COMMUNITY FRIENDS CHURCH TURNS 50/The Times/Tigard/OR/USA/20-Sep-06//… TIGARD — Tigard Community Friends Church, 15800 S.W. Hall Blvd., turns 50 this year, and members of the congregation will be celebrating with a party on Oct. 1 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Former pastors Arthur Roberts and Orville Winters will share history and memories of the church’s 50 years in Tigard. What started out as a meeting at Durham Grade School became a congregation of its own (under Northwest Yearly Meeting of Friends) in 1956.

The original building was located on 72nd and Beveland in Tigard (near Lowe’s), with a new facility constructed on Hall Boulevard in 1989.
